UK manufacturing sector is fighting back from pandemic slowdown. New manufacturing orders in UK grew in July at fastest rate since 2018. The UK manufacturing industry is working hard to recover lost output. Much of the growth was from domestic orders as overseas the pandemic is still strangling demand.
The IHS Markit purchasing managers index PMI survey also revealed that manufacturing business leaders are more confident now than any time over the last couple of years that manufacturing will be better within 12 months.
