The focus for Hipkins on his week-long visit to China has been increasing New Zealand’s exports.
The two sides agreed in a joint declaration to strengthen trade and expand cooperation in areas such as e-commerce, the green economy, and establish a dialogue mechanism on new energy vehicles, Chinese state media reported.

What is the best time of year to visit New Zealand?
The best time to visit New Zealand depends on your preferences and the activities you plan to engage in. Generally, New Zealand experiences a temperate maritime climate with four distinct seasons:
-
Summer (December to February): This is the peak tourist season. The weather is warm, and outdoor activities are popular. However, popular destinations may be crowded.
-
Autumn (March to May): March and April offer pleasant weather, and you can still enjoy outdoor activities with fewer crowds. The fall foliage is particularly beautiful.
-
Winter (June to August): Winter is ideal for skiing and snowboarding enthusiasts, especially in the Southern Alps on the South Island. Regions like Queenstown become popular for winter sports.
-
Spring (September to November): Spring brings blooming flowers and newborn wildlife. It’s a great time for hiking and outdoor adventures, with milder temperatures compared to winter.
Consider your preferred activities and the level of crowds you’re comfortable with when planning your visit to New Zealand.
If flying to New Zealand from South America which is the best country to fly from?
