Britain and Japan formally signed a trade agreement on Friday, marking Britain’s first big post-Brexit deal on trade
Free trade deal signed with just 4 and a half months of negotiations and should come into force on 1st January 2021.
Identifying new opportunities for increasing UK Japan trade. Japan will work to help Britain to join Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP) free trade deal to link with likes of Canada, Australia, Brunei, Chile, Malaysia, Mexico, New Zealand, Peru, Singapore and Vietnam.
